Pop Culture

               In my opinion, China is a conservative country, where has many traditional views. For example, men and women are may not allowed hug when they meet at the first time, unless you are my very close relatives. However, since I have been in the U.S, my some of new friends who are including guys, they always give me a big hug for the first meet time. And, I am always embarrassed and feel very confused in that situation. But, since I take this class, I have understood more and accepted  this way of greeting because I know that is due on cultural differences. Thus, I will try to change a little bit my thinking of my traditional culture because I am living here now. I think I might need to accept American popular culture, and then to mix with my home country culture, I need to continue to change my self-image and awareness.
